Where to find me and many other small, local, independent businesses this festive season. This year, I have made a point of choosing accessible venues that my mum would be able to visit. I figured if my mum can manage it, than hopefully most other people will be able to as well :)
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd November
Inside Elvaston Castle
Artisans Uncovered with Derby Uncovered
10am-4pm
Free entry, free parking for blue badge holders, dog friendly, gorgeous Gothic Revival interior architecture
Insider tip: Bring cash, as the massive castle walls mean the internet is rubbish for card payments!
Thursday 27th November
Derby Market Hall
11am-8pm
Free entry, central location, dog friendly, beer, newly renovated Victorian architecture, I'll have a pop-up barrow instead of my pink bar!
Insider tip: It's the Christmas Lights switch on and lantern parade
Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th November
Old Library on The Wardwick, Derby
10am-4pm
Free entry, central location derby city centre, gorgeous interior architecture
Insider tip: definitely one for book lovers... look up!
Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th December
The Derbyshire Makers at Peak Village
10am-4pm
Free parking, free entry, dog friendly, near by bus stop, nature reserve
Insider tip: Our Derbyshire Makers shop is also at Peak Village and great for a winter walk too! Stay for lunch at the Chatsworth Kitchen, or grab a Bakewell pudding from Lambs Deli.
Sunday 14th December
The Garage, Chilwell (Beeston, Nottingham)
10am-2pm
Free Entry, free parking, indigo bus route, dog friendly, beer, street food, fire pits...
Insider tip: My final Christmas Market of the season!
Most venues are dog friendly and some of them sell beer, if they don't sell beer then there is usually somewhere near that does!
